From a very young age I have found my way into the kitchen. It has always been a respite from the problems in my life, a creative outlet. My mother fostered a desire for baking from a very young age and taught me how read recipes straight from our Betty Crocker cook book.
I always felt somewhat lost in my own family. My brother was an extremely talented musician and my sister was great with people. Those two skills evaded me throughout my childhood and to this day I have no rhythm, I can barely even hum! My skills were better suited for mathematics and science, which fits perfectly into cooking and baking. Everything has very precise directions that you have to measure out, you just have to be patient and do it right.
My first recipe I ever did alone was Peanut Butter Cookies. I screwed up and put about 10x the baking powder and they tastes like metal discs, but my dad tried his best to eat them without making a big deal out of it. I was just this proud little 8 year old, but I knew I screwed it up, but from that day all I wanted to do was improve and help others do the same.
I lost my way growing up. I thought I was supposed to be an engineer, a financial guru, a sales person, a restaurant manager... Nothing has really worked out for me, but I always bring one thing with me to each job. I love to bake for whoever is around me. Right in front of me all of my life was my passion, I was just too naive to pursue it. I love to bake. I love to cook. I love to help others.
Modern Kitchen Supplies was founded to take that undying passion and cultivate it into a worldwide community so I can share that passion and excitement with all of you. We are working on a lot over the next couple of months that we can't wait to bring to you, including our weekly YouTube videos.
My vision for Modern Kitchen Supplies is simple. I want to touch as many lives as possible through my love for baking and cooking. I want to teach everything I know and learn everything that I don't. If there is anything that our company can do for you or someone you know, please reach out. We want to help!
